Second Class and Third Class girls had great fun making pancakes for Pancake Tuesday. First of all, we had a class discussion and decided what we needed to make the pancakes. The children enjoyed following the recipe and mixing all the ingredients together. Once the pancakes were made, we each got to choose our own toppings! Everyone agreed that they were lovely and they sure did go down a treat! Afterwards, we wrote out the procedure of how to make pancakes on our procedural writing sheets and drew pictures also. We sequenced the pictures in the correct order.
We all enjoyed the day:….. following the recipe, learning how pancakes are made, choosing our toppings and sequencing the process, but most of all – eating the delicious pancakes!!
